The little man’s official phrase of our Disneyland trip has been: “Again, again!” I have no doubt he has had a wonderful time.

thank you…you’re welcome

We have really been pushing the please and thank yous around our house lately.  The little man has gotten pretty good at it but lately whenever he says “thank you” he immediately says “you’re welcome”.  At least he gets the idea.

You would think that some cereal and bananas would be a relatively clean meal; you would be wrong.  How can such a little person constantly make such a big mess.  How is it that a little bowl of cereal can grow innumerable times into a huge heaping pile of squishy mess.  I watch him eat so I know that most of his food goes in his mouth so where does the rest of it come from?  It is on his tray, it is on the chair, it is on the floor, it is on the table, it is on his face, it is on his hands, it is on his clothes, including on his butt.  How does he even get it under his butt?  I honestly think he can perform magic.  I think that his spoon is really a magic wand in disguise and when he picks it up, POW, everything multiplies.  He has the same magic powers with dirt and water and toys.  He can make anything multiply.  If we could just turn him loose on an oil field we would never have a gas shortage.  Luckily he can also multiply smiles, laughs, hugs, and kisses.  Those smiles are good payment for his magician’s assistant (me) cleaning up all of his tricks.

  • Milk
  • Broccoli
  • Carrots
  • Basketball
  • Lunch
  • Lunch for Elway (his grandparents’ dog)
  • Blueberries

At least it was a healthy list.  I totally love that there was a basketball in the middle of it.  2 year olds are great.
